Related Affordable oversees two affordable housing communities in Illinois, guiding daily operations and ensuring maintenance, budgeting, and regulatory compliance to deliver a high-quality living environment for residents.

You will lead leasing, marketing, recertifications, and administrative tasks, while managing finances and staff across the two sites in Chicago and Wilmette. Strong knowledge of LIHTC and project-based Section 8 is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of property management experience.
• Expertise in affordable housing programs (Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC, etc.).
• Leasing license or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and accounting principles.
• Experience with RealPage, OneSite, Yardi, and JD Edwards (or similar).
• Proven leadership skills with direct supervisory experience.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset and commitment to great living experiences.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues professionally.

Aufgaben

• Lead and inspire your team, including hiring, training, and evaluating office and maintenance staff.
• Oversee leasing, marketing, recertifications, and administrative functions.
• Ensure seamless financial operations: AP/AR, rent collection, delinquency management.
• Build strong relationships with residents and handle tenant/landlord relations.
• Maintain compliance with affordable housing programs (HDC, HCR, HUD, LIHTC).
• Supervise property maintenance and ensure timely, high-quality service.
• Develop and manage the property’s financial budget.
• Prepare key reports to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Take on special projects to enhance the community and drive operations.
