Avanath is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Long Beach, CA to support daily operations, rent processing, leasing, marketing, and staff oversight. You will build relationships with residents and partners, respond to issues, and ensure leasing tasks and reports are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as Assistant Community Manager.
• Knowledge of LIHTC/Tax Credit Program.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Proven bookkeeping and rent collection record.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
• Superior interpersonal skills and adaptability.
• Resourceful and organized.
• Computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, e‑mail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rent processing, reporting, leasing, marketing, and oversight.
• Build relationships with residents, staff, vendors, and partners.
• Respond to complaints promptly and resolve issues.
• Organize resident appreciation and retention events.
• Maintain confidential resident files and manage phone traffic.
• Assist leasing duties, including tours of prospective residents.
• Handle rent payments and security deposits; review ledgers.
• Assist with monthly projection reporting and property inspections.
• Meet regularly with Community Manager and Regional Manager.
• Maintain compliance files and Fair Housing adherence.
• Oversee operations in Community Manager’s absence and support leasing.
