Job summary

CareCore at Meadows is seeking an experienced Activity Director to plan and oversee engaging programs that enrich the lives of our residents. You will lead a team and collaborate with care staff to create meaningful, enjoyable activities every day.

The role requires strong organizational and leadership abilities, a creative and compassionate approach, and the capacity to tailor activities to individual resident needs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Activity Director Certification preferred (or eligible to obtain certification).
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to resident engagement.
• Ability to plan, organize, and lead both group and one-on-one activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee a comprehensive activities program for residents.
• Develop engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Create monthly activity calendars and special events.
• Encourage resident participation while tailoring activities to individual interests and abilities.
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers.
• Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance residents' quality of life.
