Job summary

Deer Meadows is seeking an Activities Director to lead and grow our activity program for residents. You will plan, organize, and direct activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being, while coordinating with other departments.

Requires an activities/recreation certification, a Bachelor’s degree or relevant long-term care experience, and CPR/First Aid within 90 days. Join a team that supports staff and residents with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have activities/recreation certification or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate activity programs for residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the activity department and programs.
• Develop monthly calendars of events and communicate to residents.
• Coordinate with other departments and staff to support activities.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulatory compliance in activities.
• Monitor resident health and provide progress reports to caregivers.
