Qualifications

• Experience managing construction operations on municipal projects.
• Experience administering public-sector construction contracts.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specs, contracts and regulations.
• Provide leadership to Assistant Resident Engineers, inspectors, office engineers and other staff.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, workmanship and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors/subcontractors on field conditions, conflicts and questions.
• Conduct site visits, meetings and progress reviews to assess performance and risks.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are implemented and deficiencies tracked and resolved.
• Monitor site safety and address observed safety concerns.
