Job summary

V3 Companies is seeking a Resident Engineer in our Woodridge, IL office to contribute to career-defining projects reimagining our built and natural world. You will move earth to pave the way for progress, collaborating with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists across North America.

You will manage federal and state-funded projects, coordinate with stakeholders, oversee sub-consultants, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with IDOT specifications and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in managing projects involving in-stream work permits.
• Experience with large concrete and steel structures.
• PE license preferred.
• Familiarity with Class 1 Railroads and Metra is a bonus.

Responsibilities

We're looking for:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5 - 10 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with IDOT specifications and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency in managing projects involving in-stream work permits.
• Experience with large concrete and steel structures.
• Hold a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Familiarity with Class 1 Railroads and Metra is a bonus.
