We’ll look to you to perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects related to heavy transportation infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading the inspection staff, including reviewing daily inspector reports, handling project correspondence, maintaining accurate records, producing estimates, assisting with the change order process, reviewing contractor payroll reports and EEO documents.

You should have considerable knowledge of CTDOT highway, bridge, rail or facilities construction practices and procedures; the ability to prepare correspondence, reports and recommendations concerning construction issues; and a demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others. In addition, you should be able to use applicable software and record‑keeping methods consistent with the requirements of Jacobs and our clients.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Licensed Professional Engineer plus 8 years of experience, or CCM Certification plus 10 years of experience
  • Field Inspection Experience, substantial professional years experience
  • Supervisory Experience, substantial professional years experience
  • Knowledge of CTDOT construction policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer and mathematical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $170,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
