Jacobs in Florida is hiring a Maintenance Engineering and Inspection (MEI) Inspector to support FDOT maintenance projects and provide inspection and contract coordination. The role requires traveling to job sites, interpreting technical data, and preparing reports.
You should have a high school diploma, at least two years in construction administration/inspection, knowledge of construction practices, proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, and relevant certifications.

Essential Functions Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, often will need to walk on uneven ground, occasional exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
