Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. is working with a growing engineering firm in the NYC area seeking a Resident Engineer to join their construction management team.

This role involves acting as a liaison between contractors, site supervisors and project engineers, maintaining project updates for community boards and agencies, and preparing detailed daily and weekly progress reports while keeping thorough on-site records.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering from ABET accredited school.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Professional Engineer or EIT.
• OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection of daily construction work to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications, minimum testing of materials, review of contractor submittals and requests for information and coordination with the contractor.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to federal, local safety regulations.
• Coordinating the inspection activities and quality control inspection, confirming that the work adheres to the specific contract requirements.
