Hill International is seeking a Resident Engineer in Houston, Texas to supervise on-site quality control staff and manage field operations. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating inspectors, reviewing contractor work, and maintaining project records to keep the schedule on track.

Responsibilities include conducting weekly progress meetings, addressing design discrepancies, and communicating with the owner to ensure satisfaction.

Competenze

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction management.
  • Must be willing to work full-time on-site.
  • Experience with hot mix asphalt pavement and concrete pavement construction.

Hill International is seeking a Resident Engineer in Houston, Texas


  • Supervise and direct on-site personnel involved in quality control work - including personnel administration (performance and wage reviews, promotions, time off, etc.), technical direction of activities, resolution of problem areas and/or questions.
  • Provide directions to and scheduling of inspection staff. Provide guidance to inspectors to ensure proper and consistent inspection techniques/requirements are implemented.
  • Ensure that project field staff produce and maintain required project records.
  • Ensure that appropriate field staff members are informed of and understand contract revisions and design discrepancies, and that field staff follow through with same.
  • Review contractor's work operations, crew size, production rates, etc. To ensure compliance with the project schedule. Identify activities which are or may become critical to the schedule.
  • Monitor/resolve complaints or issues from residents, businesses and governing authorities.
  • Hold Weekly Progress Meetings and issue minutes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in construction management
  • Must be willing to work full-time on-site
