Job summary

Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Providence is seeking an Activities Assistant for a full-time, on-site role. You’ll create engaging programs to promote residents' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being, guided by our core values of compassion and excellence.

You’ll document participation, plan events, escort residents to activities, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment for residents.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Plan, develop, and implement recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs.
• Escort and transport residents to activities and events.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Assist with event setup and administration tasks.
