Job summary

Sterling Care is seeking an Activity Aide to create and implement engaging programs for residents. You will plan activities, monitor attendance and participation, and coordinate with volunteers to meet residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities include following care plans, reporting changes, ensuring infection control, and maintaining residents’ dignity and comfort while communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in an Activity Aide role.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities meeting resident needs across groups and individuals.
• Observe attendance, participation, and behavior; document changes.
• Support care planning with information from observations.
• Coordinate activity programs with volunteers.
• Greet new residents and ensure comfort and dignity.
• Follow infection control and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Work with computer systems designated by the company.
