Job summary

Mt Sterling Health & Rehab is seeking an energetic Activity Specialist to join our team in Kentucky. You will plan, coordinate, and lead a wide range of social and recreational activities for residents, with emphasis on inclusion and engagement.

You will work with the Resident Engagement Director to arrange trips, transportation, and program logistics, while creating materials to inform residents and families about upcoming events. CNA certification is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
• Experience planning and leading social and recreational activities for seniors.
• Willingness to work with residents and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead a wide scope of social and recreational activities for residents.
• Plan off-campus trips for residents and attend trips.
• Arrange transportation to events using buses or community drivers.
• Create, post, and distribute information about events and programs.
• Assist with purchasing supplies for activities and crafts.
• Alert social services staff of resident concerns.
