Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or human service field
• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapy Specialist, or
• Associate Degree in human service field with relevant experience
• Certified Activity Director (NCCAP or state specific)
• Meets all state-specific requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Aufgaben

• Recruits, hires, supervises staff and retains qualified personnel for the Activities Department.
• Performs Initial Assessment to determine residents' abilities, interests and cognition.
• Develops activity care plans considering individual needs and engagement levels.
• Records progress notes and reviews chart entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Attends IDT meetings and supports evaluation of interventions for nursing and physicians.
• Coordinates and manages volunteer program and resident council activities.
• Organizes off-site activity trips and manages activity calendars.
• Supervises activity assistants and volunteers; acts as Manager of the Day when needed.
• Fosters a sense of community and ensures adherence to policies and regulations.
