Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as Activities Assistant or in Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living preferred.
• Certification as an Activities Professional per governing regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work well with diverse residents and staff.
• Strong teamwork, energy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and leading individual and group activities based on residents' needs and interests.
• Encourage social interaction through group activities.
• Assist residents with participation in religious programs and leisure activities.
• Assist with monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
• Maintain, store, and use activity supplies.
• Help set up volunteer programs and appreciation events.
• Transport residents to and from activity programs.
• Assist with admissions assessments, MDS, care plans, and progress notes per policies.
• Facilitate community interaction programs.
