Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Activity Assistant to plan and lead individual and group activities for residents in a compassionate, engaging environment.

You will assist with religious and leisure activities, coordinate newsletters and calendars, and support admissions assessments and care plans as per procedures. A high school diploma is required; NC driver’s license is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in activities in Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living preferred.
• Certification as Activities Professional preferred by governing agencies.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Valid NC Driver’s License; CDL license preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and leading individual and group activities based on residents’ needs and interests.
• Encourage social communication through group activities.
• Assist residents with participation in religious programs and leisure activities.
• Assist with monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
• Assist in maintenance, storage, and use of activities supplies.
