Job summary

Avamere Queen Anne Healthcare in Seattle, WA is hiring an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning and delivering recreational programs for residents. The role focuses on well-being and engagement, with schedule Tue-Sat 9:00 AM–5:30 PM and wage $27.00 hourly.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing activities, leading group sessions, documenting participation, and ensuring safety. CPR/BLS certification and experience in geriatric care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.
• Prefer experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must hold an active and unencumbered Driver’s License.
• Experience with volunteer work and or activities work with the geriatric population.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, flexible, patient and empathy working with the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Create activity schedules and calendars with varied options to cater to different interests and abilities.
• Prepare activity areas and gather necessary supplies to ensure a safe environment.
