Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Montgomery Village, MD is hiring an Activities & Volunteer Coordinator to lead resident engagement programs, coordinate volunteers, and supervise concierge staff across neighborhoods, including memory care. You will manage calendars, reporting, and partnerships to enhance resident experiences.

The role focuses on budgeting support, scheduling, and collaboration with Sales and Resident Care to drive move-ins and ongoing engagement while upholding safety and Sunrise

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience in senior living, hospitality, recreation, or volunteer management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and event-planning skills.
• Experience with volunteer/engagement technology and reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate resident-centered engagement programs and events.
• Oversee activities, entertainment, and wellness programming across all neighborhoods, including memory care.
• Supervise team members, volunteers, and concierge staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers; build community partnerships.
• Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement metrics to improve programming.
• Lead concierge operations, delivering exceptional experiences for residents, families, and visitors.
