Job summary

Genesis Healthcare is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of patients and residents through engaging recreation activities tailored to physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will plan, organize and implement monthly recreation programs, document attendance, and participate in care plan meetings. You will collaborate with care teams to support well-being and meaningful daily experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities that meet patients' needs across physical, creative, cognitive, social and spiritual aspects.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient attendance and participation in programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
