Job summary

The Overlook is seeking an Engagement Assistant to provide activities supporting residents across physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social needs. You will invite and encourage participation in group activities and tailor options for individuals.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, a valid MA driver's license, and experience with the elderly is preferred. This is a 40-hour position that includes working every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Some experience and understanding of the elderly population is preferred.
• Valid MA Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities for residents across physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social interests.
• Invite and encourage residents to participate in group activities.
• Document resident participation in 1:1 programs, group programs, events, and outings.
• Prepare for daily events and bring needed materials to activities.
• Communicate progress and feedback with Engagement Director and team.
• Promote teamwork within the department and facility.
• Transport residents to and from activity programs when needed.
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned by the Engagement Director.
