Job summary

Katzman Family Center for Living in Chelsea, MA is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to support residents with engaging recreational and therapeutic activities. The role runs 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with rotating weekends and holidays, and pays $23.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year in Assisted Living or Long-Term care preferred; strong English communication and MS Office skills (Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience in an Assisted Living or Long-Term care setting preferred.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills – MS Office (Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Document participation and progress accurately.
• Coordinate and supervise group activities, events, and outings; ensure residents are safely escorted and engaged.
• Safely transport residents to outings and appointments using community vans and assist with transfers as needed.
