Job summary

Chelsea Jewish Life Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant at Katzman Family Center for Living. The position is part-time and pays $23.00-$25.00 per hour, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and rotating weekends and holidays.

The role supports residents with engaging recreational activities, documents participation, and helps coordinate events. A High School Diploma and fluency in English are required; prior assisted living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience in an Assisted Living or Long-Term care setting preferred.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills with MS Office (Word, Publisher, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Document participation and progress accurately.
• Assist with coordinating and supervising group activities, events, and outings.
• Safely transport residents to outings and appointments and assist with transfers as needed.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Assist with providing engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents' individual needs and care goals.
• Document participation and progress accurately.
• Assist with coordinating and supervising group activities, special events, concerts, and other activities, ensuring residents are safely escorted and actively engaged.
• Safely transport residents to recreational outings and appointments by driving community vans and assisting with resident transfers as needed.

Qualifications for Success:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1-year experience working in an Assisted Living or Long-Term care setting preferred
• Moderate to advanced computer skills - specifically with MS Office including Work, Publisher, Outlook email, and Excel.

• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
