Job summary

Compass Group USA's Resident District Manager (RDM) in the Reno, NV area leads a large multi-unit dining program, serves as the client liaison, and guides the on-site team to meet operational and financial goals.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, accountability for profitability and safety, staff development, and collaborating with district leadership to drive growth and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
• Proven track record in foodservice/hospitality management or related fields.
• Strong customer service and business/financial acumen.
• Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking, ownership, and strong communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and POS software.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and inspires a diverse team at a large account, with the goal of providing top-notch service to the client, students, and community
• Dovetails with client relationships and achieves key performance indicators (profitability, safety, employee engagement)
• Participates in district leadership discussions, sharing best practices and promoting diversity
• Gathers input from team and partners to weigh risk/reward in decisions
• Maintains a culture of transparency, education, safety, and accountability at the account
• Acts as brand ambassador of Chartwells in the district and community; attends client events
• Ensures client needs are met or exceeded and supports cross-sell opportunities and rebid processes
• Supports operations including safety, marketing, nutrition, and culinary
