Job summary

The Lakes Senior Living is looking for a Dining Services Aide to serve meals and beverages to residents in the dining room, ensuring excellent service. You will help with cleaning, stocking, and coordinating with kitchen staff to meet dietary needs while maintaining a safe, sanitary environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in food service, knowledge of dietary restrictions, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, patient demeanor when assisting elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages and meals to residents at tables in the dining room with excellent service.
• Maintain cleanliness—wash dishes, stock supplies, empty trash, and clean floors.
• Perform general cleaning in the dietary department and around ovens and vents.
• Organize stock and assist in deliveries as needed.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen and healthcare staff to meet dietary requirements.
• Follow facility policies and protect resident confidentiality.
• Deliver meals timely and communicate with kitchen staff.
