Job summary

fhcexternal is seeking a dedicated kitchen aide to help set up dining areas and trays for resident meal service. You will assist with food preparation and service under supervision, and ensure accurate handling and sanitation of kitchen areas.

You will deliver meal carts, set and clean dining spaces, and record temperatures for refrigerators. This hourly role requires availability days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing in English required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation.
• Sanitation and safety practices must be followed.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining area and trays for meal service.
• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service.
• Deliver meal carts and clean dining areas.
• Record temperatures of refrigerators and maintain stock.
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen sanitation.
• Follow facility policies and health and safety regulations.
• Attend department meetings and training as required.
• Demonstrate accountability for professional growth and certifications as applicable.
• Complete mandatory training and competencies annually.
