Job summary

Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) seeks a full-time food service worker for Bruce McCandless Community Living Center. This in-person, essential service role requires Saturday through Wednesday shifts from 10:15 am to 6:45 pm and may include holidays and weekends to meet facility needs.

You will perform cleaning, sanitation, food handling, and dining room service, following kitchen procedures and texture guidelines, assist cooks, monitor temperatures, and help prepare meals.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience in food service work.
• No substitutions for minimum qualifications.
• Preferred qualifications include food certifications and customer service or front-of-house experience, especially in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitation of dining areas and kitchen surfaces per guidelines.
• Serve food on plates, adhere to portions and texture requirements, and deliver meals.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain daily records; report issues to supervisor.
• Provide dining room service and assist with meal preparation and plating.
• Attend scheduled trainings; assist with training new staff and provide feedback.
