Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Server to engage residents in the community dining program. You’ll manage daily restaurant and bar operations, assist with catering and special events, and deliver a positive, diplomatic service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll explain menu items and wine options, take and relay orders, deliver meals, handle payments, and maintain table settings while supporting the dining team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with residents and team.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant for service with setting tables and condiments.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies.
• Explain chef's specials and wine pairings.
• Relay orders to bar and kitchen and note dietary needs.
• Serve and deliver orders to residents.
• Maintain table settings and refill water.
• Open and pour wine tableside.
• Process payments and close checks.
• Assist team to meet community needs.
• Perform basic cleaning as directed.
