Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Dining Services Associate. This PRN position supports the Dining Services Director by helping create and execute a signature dining program for residents, delivering friendly, responsive service to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances; tolerate heat from kitchen.
• Free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and safe work habits.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals respectfully, mindful of residents' needs.
• Practice safe equipment use and clean/sanitize equipment per schedules.
• Prepare the dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes.
• Upon receiving stock, store it following procedures.
• Follow cleaning procedures when mechanical equipment is not available.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
