Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Associate to assist the Dining Services Director in delivering a signature dining program for residents. You will provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience that reflects the company values.

The role requires preparing and serving nutritious meals, adhering to sanitation codes, HACCP/WHMIS familiarity, and maintaining a clean work environment while supporting varied shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Certification in the Food Handlers Course or equivalent.
• Experience in the food service industry.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
• Must be available to work varied shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift heavy objects; stand and walk short distances; tolerate kitchen heat.
• Must be free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS guidelines.
• Keep a clean, safe working environment and practice safe work habits.
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals in a pleasant, respectful manner.
• Practice safe usage of all equipment and clean/sanitize as required.
• Prepare dining rooms daily: set tables, pour beverages, clear dishes.
• Receive stock and store according to procedures.
• Follow cleaning procedures when equipment is unavailable.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Other duties as assigned.
