Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking a friendly Waitstaff member in Newport News, VA. You will greet residents and guests, take and relay orders, and deliver meals with precision, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected for a superior dining experience.

Strong customer service in a hospitality setting is preferred. VA Food Handlers and Allergen Awareness certifications are required within specified timeframes; you’ll work closely with kitchen staff to maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (Preferred).
• 1 year of customer service experience in a hospitality environment preferred.
• VA Food Handlers Card and Allergen Awareness Certification required within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard dining service protocols to greet and seat residents and guests and ensure meals are delivered timely and graciously.
• Anticipate residents' needs and accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and service.
• Support team members to provide seamless, timely, and accurate meal service at the table or bedside as applicable.
• Complete opening/closing side work and restock supplies; perform cold food prep as applicable.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and food handling standards and regulatory requirements.
