Job summary

New-Martinsville Health is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to help prepare and serve meals, while upholding strict sanitation standards for our residents. Responsibilities include setting up dining areas, assisting in meal preparation, delivering meals, and post-meal cleanup; maintaining hygiene and inventory, and supporting kitchen staff.

A high school diploma is preferred; prior dietary aide experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dietary aide or similar role.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines in food service.
• Ability to prepare meals according to given instructions and use kitchen equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook, ensuring safety standards.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms on time.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing areas and collecting items.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and managing waste.
• Keep food stations clean and wash dishes and utensils.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and support inventory tasks.
• Contribute to upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
