Job summary

Grand Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Martinsville, IN is seeking Dietary Assistants to support meal planning, service, and daily food prep, while helping maintain cleanliness and safety in the dining and kitchen areas.

You will distribute menus, check trays for accuracy and diet preferences, assist with inventory, and ensure supplies for upcoming meals are ready. Applicants should read/write English and be able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

Must be able to read and write in English and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read and write in English, communicate with residents and staff, remain calm under stress.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation, service and delivery of meals and snacks.
Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning of work areas, tables, appliances and floors.
Assist in dish and utensil washing and cleaning; collect soiled items and return clean items to storage.
Distribute and collect menus; check trays for completion and accuracy of diet preferences.
