Job summary

CareCore at Willowood is seeking an experienced Dietary Director to lead our dietary department and provide quality meals for residents. You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, ensure dietary needs are met, and maintain compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in healthcare food service, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills. ServSafe certification is preferred, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary management or supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage and develop a dietary team.
• Experience with healthcare food service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dietary department.
• Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to resident needs and dietary requirements.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility food service regulations.
• Monitor food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and department expenses.
• Collaborate with Nursing and other departments regarding resident dietary needs.
• Maintain accurate dietary records and documentation.
• Prepare the department for surveys and ensure continued regulatory compliance.
