Job summary

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced Dietary Manager to lead the dining services operations for residents and guests. You will supervise staff, plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes staff development, coordinating with nursing and family on dietary needs, and delivering high-quality dining experiences in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in related field or a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certificate.
• Completion of a state approved food safety course required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities; ability to work with groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, trains, orientates, evaluates, recognizes and disciplines staff as needed; provides day-to-day direction and problem-solving.
• Communicates expectations with staff and ensures compliance with online education training.
• Develops staffing and scheduling systems reflecting quality, cost, and appropriateness based on workload and safety considerations.
• Organizes day-to-day events and special functions in the dining services department; coordinates with staff and family for catering needs.
• Menu planning, food inventory, ordering, and ensuring meals meet federal/state/local standards; maintain FIFO labeling and proper storage.
