Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is seeking an experienced Cook to support patient and staff meals in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. You will follow planned menus, prepare food for meals and events, and ensure on-time service with high sanitation standards.

The role involves planning cooking schedules, preparing foods per tested recipes, and possibly supervising staff in the Dietary Director's absence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must purchase and wear required uniform.
• Must follow safety and sanitation guidelines and policies.
• Must attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Follows planned menus and prepares items for resident and staff meals.
• Plans cooking schedule to have food ready to serve on time.
• Prepares and cooks food according to tested recipes and guidelines.
• Prepares desserts, breads, salads, and carves meats as needed.
• Serves food timely and attractively in proper utensils.
• Maintains a clean department with sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
• In absence of the Dietary Director, may supervise staff and coordinate replacements.
