Job summary

Saint John’s Communities is seeking a Prospect Grill server to prepare and serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and provide excellent resident and guest service in a high-volume kitchen. You will use the POS system, follow safety protocols, and support teammates to ensure quality and timely service.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of customer service experience, are 16 or older, and hold Serv Safe certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and Serv Safe certified within 6 months.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must demonstrate dependability and good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must adapt to changing schedules and work flexible hours.
• Professional appearance and attitude; experience serving older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets production forecasts, service instructions and special functions.
• Uses POS system to process resident and visitor meals and manage cash per policy.
• Cooks to-order or batch-cooks items as required by the menu.
• Cleans tables, floors, dishes, and maintains sanitation per policy.
• Follows food-handling safety rules to prevent cross-contamination and keeps equipment clean.
• Stocks, labels, and packages items; reports shortages or errors to reorder.
