Job summary

The Residence at Village Greens in the United States is seeking a Cook to craft flavorful, balanced meals that support residents' health and happiness. You will work with our Dining Services team to prepare meals that meet dietary needs while upholding safety and presentation standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, planning menus, maintaining a clean kitchen, assisting with deliveries and inventory, and delivering friendly service to residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and specialized diets.
• Ability to follow recipes and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to community recipes and following various dietary restrictions and requests.
• Ensure high standards of taste, texture, temperature, and presentation of every dish.
• Collaborate with the dining team to plan and execute daily menus, special events, and holiday meals.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries and managing inventory.
• Build positive relationships with residents through excellent service and professionalism to enhance their dining experience.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
• Contribute to a collaborative and respectful kitchen culture that values quality and consistency.
