Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Herndon, VA seeks a Server to courteously serve resident and guest meals and handle dining room clean-up. You will assist residents with menu orders, provide beverages, and ensure proper table service.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. As part of a caring team, you will maintain hygiene standards, follow confidentiality policies, and participate in required

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three hours.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be in clean designated uniform and maintain good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Serve resident and guest meals courteously.
• Assist residents with menu orders and beverage service.
• Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls and assist with tray service.
• Report broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Support cleaning, setup, and resetting of dining rooms after meals.
• Interacts politely with residents, guests, coworkers and supervisors.
