Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow dietary needs and portion sizes, support positive resident interactions, and maintain clean, sanitized dining areas.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to food safety guidelines, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Prior food service experience is welcome but not required, with training provided on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen helpful but not required.
• Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
