Job summary

Westbrooke Manor is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dietary functions in accordance with policy. The role involves working with residents, following established procedures, and collaborating with the dietician to implement changes.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English and pass a background screening. On-the-job training is provided; candidates should be patient, respectful, and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
• Willingness to work with residents, families, staff and the public with tact and respect.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dietician to implement changes and ensure dietary procedures follow policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and respect privacy.
• Develop good rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure food service meets resident needs.
• Participate in food preparation for special meals or events as needed.
• Report safety concerns and ensure proper handling of supplies and equipment.
