Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living is seeking a part of a dining team member to provide courteous, high-quality meal service to residents and guests in a community setting. You will take orders, deliver meals, and maintain dining room standards with a focus on safety, sanitation, and hospitality.

Qualifications emphasize food-handling knowledge, English communication, teamwork, and the ability to work with residents in a respectful, confidential manner.

Qualifications

• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state regulations
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
• Ability to present meal alternatives to residents and guests
• Must meet state age-related requirements (as applicable)
• Strong written and verbal English communication with residents and staff
• Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality of business and resident information
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and meet deadlines
• Criminal record clearance, health screening and TB clearance as applicable

Responsibilities

• Greet residents at table before taking orders or serving
• Take meal orders and relay to kitchen using POS Tablets or paper tickets
• Serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts
• Respond to patron needs and report issues to management
• Deliver meal trays to resident apartments as needed
• Bus and clean dining room tables and chairs
• Set tables for next meal and complete side duties
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
