Job summary

Poway Healthcare Center is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care and therapy services in Poway, CA. You will help implement treatment plans, document progress, and ensure safety and infection control in the treatment area.

The role requires an Associate Degree in PTA, CA PTA license, and strong communication with the care team. Experience with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred, with opportunities to train staff and contribute

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of California.
• CPR certification may be required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in rehabilitation meetings and conferences.
• Assist Training of Restorative Aides in the nursing department.
• Communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to update physicians and staff.
• Provide in-services and educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary durable medical equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Contribute to quality assurance and program development.
• Relate positively with residents, families, staff, and colleagues.
