Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. in Topeka, KS seeks a Physical Therapist to guide residents through exercises that strengthen and stretch muscles, alleviate pain, and develop personalized rehabilitation plans after consulting on symptoms.

You will supervise PT aides and PTAs, document daily treatments for billing and charting, and communicate with the referring physician and rehab team to ensure integrated care. Compassion and clear, supportive communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must meet recognized standards of the professional education and qualifications.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility’s policies and procedures.
• Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with dignity and respect.
• Supervise and train PTA’s and PT Aides.
• Evaluate residents within one business day of referral and develop treatment plans.
• Communicate with referring physician and rehabilitation team; maintain daily treatment records for billing and charting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Rehab.
