Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and related activities in our post-acute setting.

You will treat residents under OT direction, document accurately, maintain safety and infection control, participate in care conferences, train Restorative Aides, and collaborate with physicians, nursing, and the interdisciplinary team to support progress and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to interpret policies and procedures.
• Strong math, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and/or Rehabilitation meetings, as needed.
• Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention strategies.
