Job summary

SANANTONIOWEST in seeks a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and treatment planning.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, infection control, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and timely updates to physicians and families. Experience with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and PointClickCare for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences/rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising OT to update physicians and staff regarding progress and discharge planning.
• Provide in-services on training programs as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment to support ADLs.
