Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program; proficient with Net Health and PCC data entry.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals; communicate with managers, coworkers, families.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state; continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the occupational therapist with resident care and treatment plans.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in care conferences and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Educate residents, families and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.
• Support department equipment maintenance and supply management.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with the team.
