Job summary

SUNNYSIDE in is seeking an Activity Director (Healthcare) to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct resident-centered activities in our facility, while staying current with regulations and professional standards. This role requires strong communication with staff at all levels, residents, families and agencies, plus participation in surveys and quality improvement efforts.

Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, with medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k)

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the resident-centered activities for the facility.
• Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards.
• Provide effective communication between employees, residents, families, support personnel, government agencies, and the public to meet resident and facility needs.
• Participate in community planning related to facility interests and resident services.
• Assist in review and planning of corrective actions following surveys and deficiencies.
