Parker-Nursing-and-Rehabilitation-Center in Illinois is seeking a Full Time Activity Director to plan, develop and direct the Activity Department in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and our policies. The role focuses on an ongoing program of activities to meet residents' physical, mental and psychosocial well-being, with collaboration across disciplines.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma and at least 3 years of experience in an Activities Department in a Skilled

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department to meet residents' physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
• Facilitate group activities.
• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance.
• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized.
• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities.
• Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and our established policies and procedures. The Activity Director must assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

• Facilitate group activities

• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance

• Assist in keeping activity supplies clean and organized

• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities

• Assist with outings and special events and other assigned duties

• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
