Qualifications

• Current Registered Medication Aide license and relevant certifications as required by state regulations.
• Strong clinical skills with experience in medication administration and resident care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of residents’ rights and commitment to upholding them.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility using proper body mechanics and lifting devices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle as needed.
• Commitment to safety, infection control, and maintaining confidentiality of health information.
• Ability to respond promptly and professionally to emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness activities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medication and treatments per physician’s orders, accurately recording all care provided to residents.
• Provide direct nursing care and clinical supervision of nursing assistants working with residents.
• Promptly report care changes to the Resident Care Director to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
