Turning Point of Central California, Inc. seeks a Direct Service Professional for full-time work to support residents’ treatment goals under supervision.

You will provide direct care, document progress, and coordinate transportation for medical appointments. You will also participate in daily living skills sessions, staff meetings, trainings, and emergency response while maintaining strong communication with the Program Director.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma and some college units in a social service, healthcare, education, or similar course of study.
• Six months prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must meet the minimum age of 21 under California Health & Safety Code 1562.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Ability to write acceptable progress reports for treatment documentation.
• Work effectively with diverse groups.
• Must be certified in emergency first aid prior to working alone with any resident.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable insured transportation; agency insurer authorization.
• Pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical, drug screen, TB test.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the treatment plan under supervision.
• Maintain case records per agency guidelines.
• Transport residents to doctors’ appointments and labs.
• Conduct daily living skills sessions and re-socialization activities.
• Attend staff meetings and weekly supervision with the Program Director.
• Participate in trainings and practicum.
• Support individual and group treatment programs.
• Encourage resident self-reliance in daily living.
• Observe health and behavior; report changes to the Program Director.
• Ensure staffing coverage and be able to work all shifts upon request.
• Respond to emergencies per first aid training.
